Welcome to the Strategic Insurance Alliance of the Great Lakes (SIA of the GL), LLC. We are the master agency for the Strategic Independent Agents Alliance (SIAA) representing Wisconsin, Minnesota and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. We were created so the independent agent could remain independent and be able to compete with the larger agencies and the captive or new agent could enter the independent world and have access to the markets needed to compete and win.

 

 

SIA of the Great Lakes Distributes Over $1.2 Million to Member Agencies

SIA of the Great Lakes CEO Thomas Harrison recently announced a distribution of over $1.2 Million in profit sharing and overrides to its member agencies as a result of their performance in 2008.

 

“This was an indication of the strength of the alliance, despite a soft market,” stated Harrison. “We were proud to distribute these well earned funds at our annual meeting in Wisconsin Dells, WI on March 5, 2009.  It seems especially fitting to share this type of success with our members despite the challenges of the economy and the marketplace.”

 

With a current count of 94 agencies, SIA of the GL continues to accept applications for membership. “Although we welcome all independent agents and those who want to be independent agents, in terms of applying for membership, we continue to be very selective. This approach has traditionally served us well and will continue to serve us well in terms of ongoing success,” added Harrison.
