SIA of the Great Lakes, LLC,  a SIAA master agency operating in Wisconsin, Minnesota and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, was established in 2000 by Bayland Insurance Group, Inc. of Green Bay, WI. As one of the largest master agencies in the nation, we are a mentoring organization providing direct access to carriers, higher commission, bonuses, contingencies and overrides.

 

Bayland Insurance Group, Inc. was founded in 1992 by Thomas Harrison and Ronald Marler. In 2009, the company merged with Allied Insurance Center, Inc. in Brookfield, WI and Eclipse Insurance in Green Bay, WI to form Allied Insurance Centers, LLC, a $35 million agency. Allied Insurance Centers, Inc. offers a full line of insurance products including commercial and personal property and casualty insurance, life and health insurance and financial services.   

 

SIA of the Great Lakes was created to help the independent agent remain independent and ease the way for new and captive agents to enter the independent world.

 

 

Thomas A. Harrison
CEO

Thomas A. Harrison, CEO of Allied Insurance Centers, Inc. and SIA of the Great Lakes, LLC, earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay in business administration. He oversees all operations for Allied Insurance Centers, Inc. and SIA of the Great Lakes, LLC while maintaining a large client base.

Tom, an active member of the insurance industry, has held numerous PIA of Wisonsin positions, including: Past President, Board Member, Vice President, and Secretary/Treasurer. He has also served on advisory boards for numerous partnering carriers.

In 2005, Tom was awarded “The Agent of the Year” by the PIA of Wisconsin.

 

James M. Mrotek
Secretary/TreasurerAgency Development Manager

 

James M. Mrotek is the Secretary/Treasurer for Allied Insurance Centers, Inc. and is the Agency Development Manager for SIA of the Great Lakes, LLC.
 

Jim owned and operated Eclipse Insurance Agency in Green Bay, WI, bringing the agency from scratch to $4 million within five years. Jim brings his knowledge and expertise on how to grow an independent agency and how to maximize profitability to the members of SIA of the Great Lakes.

 

He was named one of the “Top 40 People to Know Under the Age of 40” by the Better Business Bureau of Wisconsin. 

 

 

Jodi M. Harrison
Executive V.P. of Marketing

Jodi M. Harrison is the Marketing Representative for SIA of the Great Lakes, LLC. She actively recruits both independent and captive agents in the areas of Wisconsin, Minnesota and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
 

Jodi also coordinates all marketing efforts for SIA of the Great Lakes, LLC and works with partnering carriers on fulfilling contracts in specific regions.
 

 

 

 

 

Melissa M. Schefe
Placement Specialist

 

Melissa M. Schefe is a Placement Specialist for SIA of the Great Lakes, LLC. She assists agents with placement of personal lines, helps agents obtain and shop E&O insurance and trains agents on all of the personal lines carriers.

Melissa has been with Bayland Insurance Group, Inc. and SIA of the Great Lakes, LLC for 12 years.
 

 

 

 

 

Debbie Larson 
Accounting Manager 

Debbie L. Larson is the Accounting Manager for SIA of the Great Lakes, LLC. She has a B. S. in Business Administration from Central Michigan University and handles the daily accounting and monthly commissions for SIA. She trains agents on SIAA Netweb and assists with monthly ISM reporting and compliance.
 

Debbie has been with Bayland Insurance Group, Inc. and SIA of the Great Lakes, LLC for over 10 years.
 

 

 

 

Victoria Lindbeck
Member Service Coordinator
